The fifth anniversary edition of the Sofia Songwriting Camp Starts

Sofia Songwriting Camp celebrates its first anniversary with its fifth edition and an already established format, strong international participation and an even larger community of like-minded people. From September 28 to October 4, some of the most successful authors, performers and music producers from Europe, Korea and the USA will meet again in Borovets to create the music of tomorrow.
The organizers from Virginia Publishing announce a competition that will give the opportunity to five Bulgarian authors (composers, songwriters or arrangers) to become part of the camp and create alongside leading names from the world and Bulgarian scene. All those who create music can apply with their own original demo recordings from today until September 22.

The winners will be announced on September 27 at 11:00 a.m. during a special event – Workshop + Listening Session, which will be held in the Central Halls (level -1). Visitors will have the opportunity to meet some of the camp’s mentors and receive feedback on their work. As in previous editions of SSC, this year, we expect leading figures from the global music industry – including Robin Jenssen (founder and CEO of KREATION Music Rights Europe), Jin Suk Choi (producer with 68 #1 songs on Billboard) and Che Pope (GRAMMY winner for “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” and nominee for Kanye West’s “Bound 2”) – who will participate as mentors and evaluate the submitted author proposals. The names of all confirmed participants will be announced very soon.

The event is being held with the support of Kaufland, Nescafe 3in1 and with the media support of The Voice Radio & TV.
